How to Rotate PDF Pages Correctly
Correct sideways scans and mixed portrait or landscape pages by targeting only the pages that need another turn.
Select pages to rotate
Use preview clicks for isolated pages or bulk selectors for repeated orientation problems.
- All applies to the complete document
- Odd and Even help with alternating scans
- Ranges target a continuous section
Apply relative rotation
Every action turns a page from its current preview orientation, so repeated clicks accumulate.
- Left turns 90 degrees counterclockwise
- Right turns 90 degrees clockwise
- 180 degrees flips an upside-down page
Mixed-orientation workflow
Correct one orientation group, clear the selection, then handle the next group separately.
- Review each preview
- Keep page order unchanged
- Use Organize when rotation and reordering are both required
Compatibility and mistakes
Editing may invalidate signatures, and unsupported documents must be corrected before upload.
- Do not rotate an already-correct page twice
- Bookmarks, forms, attachments, and metadata are not preserved
- Encrypted, PDF/A, active-content, and malformed PDFs are unsupported
